Miles Peterson, Ph.D., CCC-A

Miles E. Peterson, Ph.D., CCC-A is a graduate of the University of Washington.  Dr. Peterson has practiced Audiology for over 29 years and has extensive experience in diagnostic testing and hearing aid services.  He has both published and presented numerous papers on hearing impairment and amplification. Additionally, he is on the faculty at CSULA where he teaches graduate courses on rehabilitation, hearing aids, and hearing science. He served as a consultant for hearing aid manufacturers 3M and SONAR.

Anne Przybyla, Au.D.

Anne Przybyla, Au.D., has been an audiologist at Hearing Science for over 17 years. Dr. Przybyla has strong diagnostic skills and strives to stay current with state-of-the-art hearing aid technology and assistive listening devices. She works closely with her patients at the Rancho Cucamonga and Arcadia offices, where she assists her patients in understanding and successfully managing the changes in their hearing situations. Anne also served as a Supervisor of Audiology at CSULA’s Hearing Clinic.

Dina Pacheco, Au.D. CCC-A

Dina Pacheco, Au.D. joined Hearing Science in 2005 and is currently working with associated ENT offices and on-site at our Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino locations. She has experience in diagnostic testing and the treatment and rehabilitation of hearing loss through hearing aids and assistive listening devices. Dr. Pacheco received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and her Master’s degree in Audiology from California State University, Los Angeles. She later earned her Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Salus University.  She is accredited by the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and California Academy of Audiology (CAA).

Emma Garcia, Au.D. CCC-A

Dr. Emma Garcia, Au.D., is a clinical audiologist that has been a part of the Hearing Science family for over ten years.  She received her master’s degree in audiology from California State University, Los Angeles and her doctoral degree from Salus University.  Dr. Garcia is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, California Academy of Audiology, and is licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology board.  She is accredited with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.

Emma has extensive experience in the assessment of hearing loss in patients of all ages from pediatric to adults.  She strives to provide patients and their families with the best possible solutions for their hearing needs with the use of sophisticated hearing device technology.  She also helps school age children hear better in the classroom by the use of assisted listening devices.  Dr. Garcia is fluent in English and Spanish.

Richard N. Whitaker, Au.D. CCC-A

Richard N. Whitaker, Au.D., is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of Arizona.  He has experience in a variety of settings; hospitals, ENT offices, schools, and private practice.  He performs diagnostics and hearing aid fittings.  Dr. Whitaker has taught an aural rehab class for our private practice patients, presented as the continuing education speaker at Pomona Valley Hospital, and as a guest speaker for residents at local assisted living facilities.

Dr. Whitaker also works as a part-time professor at California State University, Los Angeles and has been published in the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology.

Kevin Ivory, Au.D. CCC-A

Kevin Ivory, Au.D., received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and went onto obtain his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Ivory is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), California Academy of Audiology (CAA) and is a certified occupational hearing conservationist. Additionally, he has been a presenter at national audiology conventions and is currently a part-time university professor at Cal State University, Los Angeles and Cal State University, Northridge.

Alexandra Amancha, H.I.S.

Alexandra Amancha, H.I.S. has been a part of the Hearing Science Team since 2007. She graduated from CSULA with her Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders. She has been working as an audiology assistant and receptionist in our Arcadia location. She obtained her hearing aid dispensing license and is currently working in our Rancho Cucamonga and Arcadia locations providing services to our patients as a hearing instrument specialist.
